The Android Fitbit Charge App

With the release of the Fitbit Charge, there are several choices that you have when it comes to the Android app. There are several Fitbit Charge watches that are available now, as well as the Charge model. The Fitbit Charge is compatible with both the iPhone and Android phones.

The official website is free to use to get an app for your phone. It provides a nice guide on how to get your app up and running, and it also includes some screenshots of a few apps that are compatible with the new Fitbit.
For someone who is not a web developer, this is not a good option. They would most likely end up downloading a "universal" app which is supported by the two most popular operating systems. Android has Google Play and Apple has the App Store. On the other hand, many wearables category allow you to download any app that you want. They do not support the apps for the new Wear devices, but they have hundreds of apps for just about every brand out there.
So what should you be looking for in the apps? Are you looking for fitness apps, weather apps, health and wellness apps, and other apps that were not mentioned above? While you can find just about any app in the Android Market, I have narrowed down my search to the categories listed above.
I am looking for apps that fall into the most basic level of functionality. While the Fitbit Charge has many features, they are not all related to health and fitness. I know that this is a basic definition, but it's the easiest to understand. In other words, apps that are pure health and fitness-oriented will not work on the Charge.
Most apps that are compatible with the Charge are a great place to start. They usually provide exercise routines, calories burned, and daily measurements of your activity. If you can get your exercise program or calorie tracking app on the Fitbit Charge, it will help you stay on track.
It is a kind of old school, but I feel that this is still the best option. You can keep yourself motivated with your readings and know exactly how much you are losing in your daily workout. So for me, fitness apps are all that matter.
Another option is the style app. Many styles and colors have been developed for the Charge. They usually have the same functions, but the app is more like a fashion accessory than a true fitness product.
In order to truly enjoy your Android device and its Charge, you must have a style app. While I think that these Fitbit chargers are fun, I would much rather have my style app.
With all of the apps available, it really does not matter which of the phones you are using. Some models will support multiple mobile platforms. If you have an iPhone and you are not using the Android Market, then you can get your Fitbit Charge style app on your Android phone.
When you get your Fitbit Charge from the Fitbit site, you will get an Android app. Since the app supports the Android OS, it should work on almost any phone. It does not matter which phone you have, because the app is compatible with all Android phones.
